So I just picked up a '17 non PP GT Premium, Auto W/Optional 3.55's and need some some experienced help. I'm wanting to change out the stock rear tires to something more suited to my driving habits and the car's intended usage, that being mostly street/dragstrip.
I have owned a lot of turbo LS cars, and recently a turbo Coyote (swapped) Marauder, and always had good luck with M/T ET Street's...nothing like a set of sticky Mickey's....but the wear rate on the street is pretty quick like unfortunately when using as a DD.
This car is stock for the time being, however I plan on an RS3 blower kit in the near future.
The car has the 255/40/19's, non Performance Pack. I was looking at Nitto G2's and 555R's, but it's been so long since I have been into the Nitto brand that i'm not even sure what's good anymore.....and I have no idea if I can go wider on the stock rim/ect.
So....my question is, what size will fit properly on the stock rims width wise, and what seems to work the best for decent HP and wear rate...if both are possible? I have done some searching.....but can't seem to find answers i'm comfortable with settling on.
Thanks in advance!
