Need some help on buying Hankook rs3 V2

Hey guys,

Ordered a set of APEX 18*10 EC-7 and MSSP at the end of 2015. Got APEX 18*10 but was just told MSSP had been discontinued. Now looking to buy a set of HanKook rs3 V2 but wondering what size would be the best fit...I am driving 2015 EcoBoost without PP.

Might want to keep looking for tires... Checking tirerack, the RS3v2 has limited sizing. The 275/35/18 is the closest, BUT it's going to be almost 2" shorter in diameter.

With your new wheels, I'd recommend a 285/40/18 to keep a similar overall diameter.

Thanks for the suggestions. I decided to go with Bridgestone S-04 265/45/18. It is going be 40% less expensive than MSSP.

The S04 is a great tire choice.

Right now Hankook is having a hard timing getting those RS3 tires out, ive been waiting on the 285/350 in 20" to come back in stock so I can get my stocking order in.

Actually I have a question, which might be pretty naive. So the stock tire is 235/50/18 on my ecoboost and on the APEX website it says their 18*10 can fit 265/45/18 on all S550. I am confused as to how wide the tires my car can handle, 265?275? And how about the aspect ratio? Is 40 OK?

Well Ive seen as wide a 295 it all depends on the brand, since your going to use the S04 tires they state a 265/45/18 even though the width is a tad too narrow IMO but the profile makes up for it.
Id personally do a 275 at the min on the sizing but their size is a 275/35/19

Now if your using this as a track tire, also take a look at the Toyo R888 in a 295 sizing

The offset for APEX 18*10 is 43. Actually thinking about MSSP 285/35/18. Probably need spacers for 285, though.

You can get it to work, maybe a 5 mm just for additional strut clearance.

Ok, pretty much set on MPSS 285/35/18. Just wait so there won't be any snow in the Chicago area.

Would a square setup of 285/35/18 be normal on EcoBoost? I have 4 18*10 Apex, so I guess that is the only choice I have.
