Need help with x pipe order

Hey guys, so a few weeks back I ordered an mbrp cat back which comes with an H pipe. It's a 3in catback set up. I would like to change the H pipe with an x pipe.

My question is, if the cat back is a 3in set up, does that mean that the x-pipe I order needs to be 3-inch?

I’m not familiar with that site or company. Why don’t you just ask them directly. You might need to get a adapter to make some exhausts work together regardless of size. The stock size of the 15-18 models is 2.25.

Yes. FYI it'll be extremely raspy with the MBRP mufflers and an X.

Here's a good option. You won't find a good direct fit, it will be custom.

Thanks for the reply brother. This x pipe seems very very short to me however though? Do I not need a full size one? Seeing as how I'm replacing the H pipe which is a full-sized one?
Also have you heard the mbrp with an x pipe on it before?

As mentioned, there will not be a direct fit X pipe for the MBRP. You'll have to cut the existing H section to add an X.

The MBRP with the H is already a raspy exhaust under aggressive throttle. The X will only increase that. I've heard the H.

The mbrp with h pipe I have is incredible bassy in my opinion . It drones alot. Alot of bass . I'm hoping the x pipe will stop the drone and add aggression

It'll do nothing for drone. That's from the muffler design.

So they dont make a 3" x pipe for an mbrp ? That's odd . I only see them in 2.5" which seems to be the one for stock exhaust . I really dont want to cut the H pipe I have. Are there no other options?

Different catback that doesn't drone or isn't super bass heavy.

But I mean for the pipe . The x pipe you sent in that picture , would it be welded?

You would be able to clamp it. 3" butt joint clamps.

That particular one is. I'm sure you could adapt the Corsa double helix X pipe too,.though much more expensive.

Yes it is. Richer, smoother, but higher pitched also. I think it might just fit right up, or maybe just require a slight trim of the MBRP axleback piping into it.
