I was looking at 3M crystalline on the front windshield and ceramic on the rest. Why do you say stay away from 3M? They don't make their tint but why is that a bad thing? I'm genuinely curious as I've only gotten one of my cars tinted and that was over 10 years ago.

The closest lummar installer is over an hour away from me. Is the stuff really worth the drive? I looked at the numbers and they seem very similar if no almost identical to the 3M crystalline.
Yes it's really worth the drive. Believe it or not better film is opticaly clear.lummar has such a good warranty that if you move to another state any lummar installer can fix any possible issues. And to be fair other manufacures do the same..
Ask for ctx .. it's ceramic and won't interfere with radio station

Yeah, lifetime warranty on Formula One Pinnacle/Stratos is awesome. Anything ever happens, no matter what, they replace it. Ceramic films are amazing.

So I just got a bid of 550 for Stratos here locally and $25 for visor. I told them I want no bubbles and they said we work hard but are not perfect. Thoughts from everyone here? I also asked for shaved edges and they said they will eventually peel but can do them if I want.

The shaved edge is not nessesary. You can still get met without it. And yes it does increase the chances of top edge pealing

RUN!!!!! If they can't do it without bubbles then they suck !! My installer has done 6 cars for me and my immediate family and literally hundreds for our fleet. Never seen an air bubble!!

As for the cost, I can't say for sure but sounds high to me. Could just be geographically set.

Well this sux. Nobody near me will cover bubbles, and very few will allow me to film it. I don’t get it, I’m offering free publicity and what basically amounts to a video review. I’m hoping it would result in two things: extra care on the part of the installers, as well as some extra business for them based on my experience.

Sometimes I hate not living in a huge popular city, and instances like this that involve the latest tech with the need industry leading installers is one of them. It makes more sense for skilled people and businesses to migrate to places that can support high end work :/
