Need help understanding alignment!

Another alignment issue for you guys. Had my car lowered today on BMR SP080's and it looks freakin awesome, the stance is perfect. Anyway, took my car in to NTB to get a 4 wheel alignment and had a couple of issues. The guy told me that the adjustments could not be made to get me within factory specs both front and rear. I'm not sure what I need to do right now. Anyone know if a shop that can do a great 4 wheel alignment in Houston? Or do I need to by the caster/camber plates first then go back to NTB and get it done again, didn't pay the first time because he couldn't get it done. Can y'all give me some pointers and let me know how bad it is and what yalls advice is please?

i don't know what the drop is on those springs but knowing BMR, I doubt they are extreme, they tend to focus more on performance than crazy radical looks. Assuming they are near the 1" drop point, I find that caster hard to believe. I've never heard of anyone having problems with caster with any of the 1" drop springs.

As far as the right rear camber, that is their limited knowledge. That is adjustable. It isn't easy to get up there to the bolt. Then you have to adjust it some, tighten it back down and try again, very time consuming and not easy. I figure he just took the easy way out. The perfect indicator is your left rear camber. The suspension is symmetrical. Why would the right be ok and not the left?

If you wanted to make it easy to adjust the toe, Steeda has adjustable rear toe links.

Those guys are either lazy or suck at alignments.

They did ok in the front, they should have had plenty of adjustment to get the toe right though. I'd also like a little more camber but eh.

They sucked at the rear. Looks like they couldn't figure out the rear camber adjustment at all. The rear toe is easy to adjust there isn't any reason it shouldn't be dead on.

Yea, that's exactly what I thought too. Not sure what my next step will be, maybe I should try and go back to the dealership or just keep searching for a shop that can get it done. I'm kinda lost right now.....

The first thing I would do is go back to the place that did the alignment and show them the adjustment, ask them to either adjust it correctly or give you your money back. Assuming they probably will not be able to do an adequate job, I would focus your search on shops that can do a "4 wheel alignment". Most shops only know how to do front end alignments. I went to a local national chain shop first and got the same results. The kid doing the alignment went to high school with my kids and hasn't done any certs since getting out of school, knew nothing about adjusting the rear. I was told to call shops that work on BMW suspensions. After making a number of calls, I found a very good shop.

Well, good thing is I didn't pay because they were not able to get it within factory specs. Second thing, and this is a funny one......I did show they guy where the adjustment is on the rear.

Where did y'all get your alignments done? Anyone know of a shop inhouston that really, really knows how to get an alignment done and brought within specs? I was told about northwest chassis at 1960 and kurkendyhl.
