Hey Guys,

My current lease on my 2012 Mustang is coming to an end next month. I'm only interested in leasing cars, prefer to get a new one every 3 years.

That being said, it's my understanding that Ford has no lease deals on the 2015 Mustang GT.

As such, I'm debating leasing either the 2015 Mustang Ecoboost with Performance Package or the Camaro 2SS. I most probably will get either configuration in automatic (I know, I know, but I live in the NYC/Tri-State area where manual gets old fast). As such, the Camaro would be limited to 400HP.

Which vehicle do you guys think is the way to go?

Thanks,
Trav

Camaro is very nice on the outside but not on the inside! I've been debating between a 1LE and GT performance package for a long time but when you go for a test drive a like the inside of the mustang a lot better. The camaro interior feels and looks old. And remember camaro will be all new for 2016.

Does it matter? You are looking to lease...which means you switch cars every 3 years. By the time my car (and many others) is paid off you could drive both a new mustang and potentially a new 2016 Camaro.

Thanks for the opinion. The situation is as follows:

With X-Plan pricing, loaded Ecoboost premium w/ PP is about 50-60 dollars less per month than available 2SS Camaro. So the debate is whether that extra 90 HP and v8 power curve (Automatic Camaro at 400hp) is worth the extra money.

This car will be a daily driver, and will probably never race (legally...). Though I am looking for some fun on the highway when possible.

I know it's probably a personal preference thing.

Thanks,
Trav

ok so that's not a comparable lease deal. i'd take the EB. even though it's not a GT, it's still hot and fresh, unlike the camaro which will likely be a new body style next year.

I would hold out to see the 2016 Camaro but you prob are not able to do that. I would spend the extra myself and do the 2SS but it is a tough choice. Can't go wrong either way haha.

How can you compare the EB to a ss2 should it be a GT vs SS?

To me, the Camaro wasn't even in the picture once I saw the interior. The S550 interior is leaps above the Camaro and that matters to me. Things might change in 2016, though.

My opinion would be EB over the SS Camaro. I just find the S550 interior that much bette--it's worth giving up the V8 for a still fun to drive Ecoboost.
