Fellow forum members, I’m kicking myself as i gave my local dealer my 2019 gt350r to fix the gearbox recall and now the car is sitting in the dealers shop for a week and they claim that ford has sent them bad parts twice. I went to pick the car up Friday only to get in the car and the gear box had no resistance to putting it into reverse. We tried to drive the car off the lot and couldn’t even get the car into second gear. I left the car and they called back and said the issue was that Ford sent them a bad part and they will get the part (again) and reperform the repair. Well today’s story is that they got the second set of new part(s) from Ford and reinstalled but the issue is not fixed and more bad parts from Ford. I am fairly certain they are not being honest and it’s likely due to unqualified service staff and shame on me for giving them the car but wondering how I can get ford to help me with this debacle that is likely to just continue to get worse.
thanks in advance for your help and ideas here.

So, the mechanic who was doing installation didn't noticed wrong part twice? That's BS dealer giving you in my estimation.

Agreed - and appreciate that comment but really looking for ideas as to how to get Ford involved here. Anyone have experience with getting Ford engaged on issues like this? I called the 1-800 customer service line and they said that their systems are down and they cannot even open up a case and wanted me to call back later or tomorrow. What a showing by Ford!!!

Is the dealership in a small town?
It doesn't sound like they put an experienced mechanic on your car. I think you have two choices, let them figure it out or read what the lemon laws are in your state. They are usually in 3 times for repair and maybe 30 days without use of the car. Check your state.
