Amazing looking.

Lincoln today reveals the all-new Navigator Concept, introducing quiet luxury to full-size SUVs and offering a glimpse at what comes next for the brand’s best-known nameplate.

"The all-new Navigator Concept reinforces our commitment to give every Lincoln client what we call quiet luxury – vehicles and experiences that are elegant, effortlessly powerful and serene," said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln. "This kind of quiet luxury sets Lincoln apart. Now, we're showing fans of large SUVs how we can exceed their expectations, without being the loudest statement on the road."

Lincoln invented the large luxury SUV in 1997, and now is reimagining Navigator for modern clients interested in better performance, more space and further refinement.

Lincoln's design team drew inspiration from luxury sailboats and yachts when designing the new concept. This influenced everything from the clean, modern lines and Storm Blue paint on the exterior that mimics the grays and blues of sea and sky, to the teak finishes, custom gear and wardrobe management system found inside.

That thing looks great. I could definitely see it giving the Escalade a run for its money. I'm also digging that front end design on SUVs. I think that front would look killer on the MKC/MKX and would outshine Caddy's current offerings. Has Lincoln finally hit the sweet spot in the design department?

I dig it. But what's up with the door? There's no split line between the front and rear.

The Navigator has always been ugly, not enough investment into it. This looks like an elongated Land Rover. It looks good, but sort of... already seen it. There's no way in hell those triple steps are going to make it into production, maybe just a single flip oout step. Doubt the flappy door will either, although nice concept. Don't see how they'll make crash test ratings with one big door like that and a windshield corner that isn't supported at the corner by topside unibody frame. Interior is excellent, finally. I like it a lot but (1) it'll be a billion dollars and (2) it's a Lincoln and until Lincoln spits out a car someone wants to buy, the SUV isn't going to get any attention. They should have come out with a Continental years ago and priced it at about 60K with top trim, not the seemingly 100K they think their current concept will pull. Nope. Not that I have all the answers but I wish I could work on Lincoln's design team and figure out where some of their crap is coming from...

I'm not a big fan of the new Continental either. If they would have come up with a decent, modern take on the '61-'64 it might have lit a fire. As it is, meh.

Lincoln has been "me too" for far too long. I'd rather have a Cadillac.

Well, considering the average age of the Lincoln owner is 89, they need many steps... :ninja:

Seriously, I do think the new Lincoln grill is more upscale and classy, but I am not a fan of fancy SUV... and this has some ridiculous concepts built in like the doors and steps. Not for me, but I hope it sells well for Ford's sake once it is finally released.

Looks like a Range Rover on Viagra. I wouldn't mind a clean 4x4 Navi. I'm too poor for that life tho
