Nothing this end, i'm trying to stay calm, you must be well peed off, sounds like you have it worse than me, could be a month before you get your car.

Not sure I get that reply, I guess you've gone bonkers already ;)
It is on the vibe of being peed off and going a little bonkers yes!

It is beginning to take the whole shine off getting the car, bumping into people all the time and the first thing they say is "Have you got your car yet?"

Of course I planned not to tell too many people about the car but over a 13 month period this is tricky!!!!

Communication costs nothing and it has been a big let down and I have to be honest that I am slightly nervous about what may go wrong when I have the car and how long it will take to get parts, whether it is a clutch, windscreen or another part...

There is genuinely nothing else out there I want as much as the Mustang but it does grate that I could have been driving around in an M4 or F-Type for a few months now, with much better communication on the way and less nerves during the ownership...

But I bet their forums are nowhere near as good!

Rant over!

Totally get you, that's what I worry about, they'll say they've fixed it and it'll turn out it was something else, back to the dealer try this and that as well as waiting parts if needed, in some ways I just wish i'd taken the car back and waited for the thing to burst then at least we'd have a better idea as to what the fault was. I think it's the not knowing, ok I could call but surely it should be the other way round, isn't it called customer service, i'm not expecting red carpet treatment but just one phone call with an update would have been nice and it's surprising how much that can make a difference to the whole thing, instead I haven't heard a thing since Thursday last week and that's only cos I called them.

You'll regret doing that... it's full of people moaning about poor underseal, delayed delivery dates and whining noises from the engine/transmission/prop shaft/heater etc etc.
Better the devil you know! :D

That would be rash - get Karen involved, she has come back to me today so there is some hope and other avenues to explore...

We could both have our cars within the next 2 weeks :headbang:

"Morning
Yesterday I did have a reply back from the DCL Parts people. The Clutch assembly is way off and without wishing to give you the bad news, I rang the dealer and my new best friend Sean the Workshop Controller. They have managed to source it from another dealership and are in the process of getting it paid for and delivered so they can repair.

This is great news! I am working at home today (it’s my day off) so I said I would call him back tomorrow to get an update from him of when it is likely to be with them. I would estimate 2 weeks at least until repair. Believe me though this is better than the parts people told me! I was ready to source you a demo myself!

I will report back on Thursday when I have spoken to them again.

Kind Regards
Karen"
