I had decided I wasn’t going to track it until after 8 weeks but I got the call it was in. So no I never tracked it.
Did you have a ability to track it chose not to if yes where could you have checked?
I ordered the day before (2/4) and I had my VIN on 2/14. Build date of 4/22. You should check if it was really ordered or your dealer doesn't have allocation. With a priority 10 you should have it between 8-10 weeks. You must not forget that your not the only one to order a Mustang before summer.
Did you order a performance pack? I’ve talked to the dealer and my DORA said priority 10 and was bumped up to a 1 last week. My salesman keeps saying that they don’t have the parts for a pp1. Which I think is bs. I work for Ford and I have a buddy that works at Flat Rock, he tells me there is no part shortages as far as he knows other than the steering wheel shortage in January, and he says they have them now.
Salesman has been checking every Friday and giving me updates. He says there is no vin yet. He says he talked to somebody (I have no clue who). They told them they are waiting on pp1 parts. He even talked to a Regional manager to get it bumped up to a priority 1 last week and still no VIN. I feel like I’m waiting to get a GT500 it’s taking that long.
It’s ridiculous. I’m waiting 2 more weeks. If I still don’t have a vin. I’m going to a different dealer. They have the mustang I want except with some options I don’t care for. It’s been on the showroom floor since they got it.
2k more in options I don’t want. Better incentives in April and no sense in buying a car in February and paying insurance and a payment if you can’t drive it, winter is bad here. I figured if I order it I can get an extra layer of clear coat put on (auto show finish) because I work for ford. I can also watch the car be built. It’s just become too much aggravation.
