my corsa got violated by ups :-(

ok so got it on tonight

come to find out the hanger for the left muffler was bent in as well and small dent on the face of the muffler caused by it. so we took a big hammer and beat that hanger back out where it should be and lined up good.

I was like nothing like taking a damn hammer to a brand new exhaust!!! but it had to be done.

It's definitely way more exotic but I'ma call it an exotic muscle sound. It sounds like a mix of both and it's definitely louder than frpp sport like I wanted. The exhaust just sounds so damn good. That double xpipe has gotta get some credit i reckon. I will say that videos don't do it justice for actually how loud it is though. You still gotta get down on it to get it louder but it's louder overall through the mid rpm range vs the frpp sport and definitely louder at top rpm. You guys with headers and corsa extreme are brave. lol

its loud. like ear piercingly loud. like hear you from a few miles away loud. louder then a gunshot. and i love loud exhausts and race car shit.
2 out of 3 people i know either put cats on their headers or took the system off.

told the two and half year old this morning to go look at the new exhaust on daddy's car. he walks around to the back and points at the tips and goes " ohhhhhh I like that!"

Then we cranked it up to hear that cold start for the first time and he went "wowwwww!"

then I couldn't get him in the car because all he wanted to do was look at the new tips and hear it haha. I am raising nothing but trouble!

I would recommend selling the axle back portion and purchasing our Touring axle back. Hypermotive has them listed in a thread. This will cut the db's by approx 9-10 and get you into a deeper tone.. will make your ears happy again :cheers:

Not sure what the rest of the packaging looks like but the Borla systems come in a substantially larger box and were really well padded everywhere (to the point of being annoying to unbox!). Maybe something for Corsa to consider in the future.

my frpp box is considerably smaller than corsa but probably because it's 2.5 system and in more pieces compared to corsa. only thing that might have helped would be double boxing or better luck with people at ups lol

I just shipped my FRPPs today. I'm waiting for my Corsa sports to arrive (pre order FTW!) plus I snagged myself some SW headers with O/R leads. My neighbors may or may not hate me in the next couple weeks lol

Well i got my Corsa extreme cat back from UPS today. It was supposed to be delivered to my apartment and have a signature required. The UPS guy never came to my apartment and knock on the door, ring my buzzer or anything to let me know he was there. I got a note on my mail box that the 1st delivery was attempted. Had to call UPS so i could go pick it up.

Got there and the kid bringing me my box hit the overhead light and dropped my box on the concrete floor. Talk about a bunch of dumb asses! I arranged my schedule so i could of put it on the car today but had to wait until 7 P.M. for the truck to get back to UPS building. Needless to say it was too late to put it on today now i have to wait until Saturday.

No damage to the box and nothing damaged inside. Looks like a quality exhaust. Don't you just love UPS????? :headbonk: addle: :frusty:

I have to disagree with the first post. Everybody should know that no shipper is going to handle a package that large and heavy with kid gloves. The responsibility for the safe delivery should be on the company that does the packaging.
