Are you sure these are UK mirror widths?

I need to confirm widths too as I will need to fold the mirrors to get through the garage door.

This picture is from the new UK brochure and the wing mirrors aren't even as wide as the car !!!
I took the measurements from the brochure too, they are on the page before the one where your picture is taken.

For the Mustang the UK and US mirrors are different sizes but in the brochures the widths with and without mirrors seem to be the same. Getting the Mustang in and out of my garage door opening is going to be very tight and no amount of measuring will be better than actually trying. I used to park a MK2 Mondeo in the garage but the garage door was replaced a few years ago and it now has a rubber seal up the sides which has reduced the overall width a little so a new garage door with a slim frame may be the solution.

Quick update.
Car still amazing. I really find it hard to fault it.
Actually gave it a bit of a hard drive today, previously I had just been giving it a boot full every now and then. I took it on a country road and had some fun. I accelerated to pass a van and before I knew it the next corner was approaching....fast. But a stab of the brakes brought her down to a speed suitable for the corner and then I accelerated out ....................WOW!!

Cannot wait to have mine! Sounds like the tyres aren't as bad as we all thought they would be then for this weather?

Well, I do feel the car could bite you hard if not careful. I am learning very slowly at treating her with respect at the moment. I don't hit the throttle until the wheels are in line.

Where's the fun in that? ;)
Somewhere on the back of that Dodge Ram 1500

I know you're trying to be funny but these cars bite, and they bite hard. The Mustang is notorious in the states for getting wrecked by inexperienced drivers.

Can we make a deal on the UK Forum not to turn into the laughing stock of the road? (basically, lets not be the next generation of Ford Capri owners!)

That's because like me you had a couple of bags of cement in the boot
Actually, my first was a Mk3 1.6 Laser.......no bags of cement needed in that one. The only time it got sideways was with the use of the handbrake.....and once on a wet/diesel spill roundabout.

My 2.8s were another matter :D

Update.
Ok, so I have had the car for a week and a bit now and done 750 miles.

I absolutely love the thing. I has exceeded my expectations in every single way!

I drove to Colchester and back today and drove pretty conservatively. Trip computer showed 31mpg. No, I have not checked that by doing a refill but will do. The fact is, its more of a physiological thing anyway so seeing 31mpg does it for me!

I did have a mad moment when a couple of lads pulled up alongside me in a Subaru thing with a fat exhaust. Lights went green and I booted it. OMG! The beautiful sound as the V8 went through the gears was wonderful. And seeing the Subaru in the rear view mirror even better. I slowed up when I hit 70....I really. And they came storming past with the guy in the passenger seat giving me the thumbs up.

This car is amazing at speed but I think I love cruising in it even more. Everything is just effortless. Changing down through the box for roundabouts? Nah, just cruise round and listen as that glorious V8 burbles out the bend in a gear

This car is great at speed and even better just cruising but its at it best stationary with me outside looking at it.
I get home, park it and look back as I walk away. Then I get indoors and look out the window at it. I have even gone outside to 'get something out the boot' when I see people looking at it.

I never have and probably never will be, so happy about a car!!
