I just got the call. 11 weeks after I place the order on March 17, my dealer called and said to bring them a big check tomorrow. I had to arrange for a car service to drive me the hour to the dealer and I have to go to the bank, and, and, and....
But I am about 14 hours form being in my car - well being in the finance guy's office filling out forms and declining dealer options.
I will post pictures tomorrow when I get back. But, I have been reading and participating in this great forum for a while and I have learned a thing or two that I want to make sure I remember to do when inspecting the car before I sign over the money. I would like confirmation of the top things to do and look out for on inspecting the car before taking delivery:
1) drive it at speed and be mindful of vibration from the car or thought the wheel at 50+
2) all the panels seem to have even gaps
3) the leather is tight fitting on the seats - no slack
4) make sure that the seat back cooling system works
5) make sure the windows work properly when the top is put up and down
I am not the most mechanical or observant so I likely will not have enough of an attention span to do much more than this. But is there something important I am missing that I should check?
Thanks all. I am very excited and looking forward to being a member of the club!:ford:
