Makes perfect sense to me, I've had to yell at a group of smokers before standing next to my car in our parking garage because their normal spot was getting wet from the rain....and pointed out ash all over my car to them so I get it believe me :D

I think you'll get just as much (if not more) attention in that little thing than your LE would get..
I've been lucky with Door dings so far but others I've worked with have had encounters at work.
That looks like a death trap to be honest.
They say its supposed to have a full roll cage in it
Agreed. just like the Smart cars. An encounter with anything larger than a Civic wouldn't end well.
It has a higher chance of survivability than that of a rider on a motorcycle
I like it
I love the blue and green it's like a mini prowler
They say it has an "anticipated" 5 star crash test rating. Right...
We will have to see. Like I said it's awesome just to be a new company in the US
With the crumple zone being your face.
smart car crash:

I am very intrigued by this. I had not heard of these before today. Thank you for sharing.
Your welcome. I still need to do more research and definitely see some real world feedback
Absolutely not. To each his own though and if you live close to work and don't have to take it more than a couple miles and never on roads faster than 40....power to you.

If I went for a small vehicle, I'd go with a can am spyder, though those are also considerably more expensive.

I live 19 miles from work and I'm opposite heavy traffic. Like I said this is more protection than any biker gets..
I like this more than the Spyder because it is contained. This has heat, AC and it would keep me dry with no special gear. From what I can tell, it is registered as a motorcycle. If that means I could drive it in the HOV lane, this would be a very desirable vehicle. I'm defiantly going to keep my eye on developments.
Exactly and yes it qualifies for HOV due to it being a motorcycle.

I've seen these advertised online and in magazines for now I would consider it Vaporware. Very cool concept but I truly believe that they have a long way to go. You might be better off just buying a winter beater (2010 MY Focus are going for about 7 grand), a motorcycle, etc...

I like lighter cars, but I wouldn't want anyone I loved to drive a vehicle with a mass anything below 2500 pounds.

If you would drive this like 2 miles to work or less at speeds not over 35 mph I'd say go for it. I'd never take it on the highway unless absolutely necessary. And yes, I won't ever own a motorcycle as well for that reason as well. (Nothing against our 2 wheeled fan members here)

I love it, seriously gonna go look into one when they come out. Only real question is how is reliability going to be?

On the plus side it's rwd. Haha

Why can't these new companies with super high mileage vehicles do it with 4 wheels?

Maybe that "4th" wheel puts them in direct competition with "regular" cars and then people realize what terrible attempts at transportation they really are.

If I was gonna go for this type of vehicle I would want one of those fully enclosed motorcycles. Drove one in Singapore and they are crazy fun.

Does it come with a bag to put over your head and this is an S550 site, right?

If I could find a rust free 96 Escort 5 speed I would buy it in a heartbeat for a beater. More economical than a Mark VIII. Plus much less sh*t that breaks.
