I’m dedicating this post to my good friend Harry aka @ PP0001

This will be a rather long post but I wanted to share my journey with this group. I purchased a 2020 GT500 in January of this year and though it was a nice car it just wasn’t the car for me. I reached out to Harry before I got rid of this car as I viewed many posts from Harry in the forum. I was always intrigued with the 350R and almost purchased the 350R before the 500.

Fast forward to June. Harry helped locate a dealership in Arizona that would let me order a 350R to my specs. I put down a deposit and ordered the car. The car was shipped to a local dealership near me. The dealership was an extremely bad experience. The car sat outside and there was damage to the carbon fiber wheel and some fender alignment issues and paint issues. The dealership didn’t care to fix the issues and just wanted it off their hands. I walked away and gave up to be honest.

I decided to look through the spreadsheet and auto trader and found a dealership in SC. The dealership had the exact same spec as the one I ordered and was for sticker price. Again Harry came to the rescue. He had dealt with the dealership under a different name at the time and had a good friend that lived in the area. He put me in contact with Greg. After what happened with the other dealership I wanted someone to look the car over. The dealership informed me that someone was coming to look at the car the next day. Harry’s good friend dropped what he was doing and looked at the car for over 40 minutes and that the car was in great shape. I put a deposit down immediately and went through all the paperwork.

Fast forward to today and I’ve finally reached the day of the car delivered through Reliable. They are awesome to say the least. If you ever need a vehicle transported please check them out.

I had the car delivered to my detailer so I don’t have great pics.
’ll have plenty more after he works his magic on it.

Today has been an amazing experience and I owe it all to my good friend Harry and and now a new friend through Harry. I hope to meet Harry or Greg one day in the future but this is what the forum is about.

Cool story. What didn't satisfy you about the GT500 that you think you'll get from the GT350R?

Just never felt connected to the car. The automatic and the car doing everything for me. I had never owned an automatic up until the 500. I get it that it’s faster quicker etc but the driving experience thus far of the 350R for me is so much more engaging.

looks good, that color combo was on my short list. you're not the first person ive heard say that about the gt500. i was very lucky with my car as well. i found it already built to my exact spec at msrp and from what ive seen its the only 2020 in that color and build spec.

Congrats. Interesting you traded the gt500 for the gt350r. I keep looking at the gt500s, but I just cant get past it being automatic. Great story, and glad you found one in the end. Happy posting

Congrats on the R. They look good in most colors but black on black was the one that got me too. Some people hate on the color because of the upkeep, but to me this spec in R trim is one of the cleanest combos with the red.

I agree. I’ve always liked the color black on cars but this color combination to me is the best with the stripes.

I’ve never hated on black cars unless I owned one.
Nothing better looking than a paint corrected, well maintained black car.
If you live in an area that doesn’t have constant dust, they are great. Wash it correctly to eliminate swirls and you’re good.
This R in particular is stunning!
