Instead of focusing on Camaro volume, GM is seeking earnings based on per unit mark-up. It's the reason they're insanely priced now. :( It isn't an opinion, but something GM has openly stated.

I know there are some here that don't feel the Camaro contributed to that, and I have no idea either way, but I don't think it matters - just having another performance car option is great, so I don't understand the desire to see it go.

I reckon all fastbacks share homologous profiles, but Mustang diehards will only admit to non-GM or non-Mopar vehicles.

By the way, it seems that 'salon' style sedans are basically modern 4-door fastbacks.

I don't care how much mark up you have per unit if the dealers are cut the hell out of prices and your still not selling many of them the car isn't making any money. And todays automotive business climate that will kill a name plate(camaro)

Im sure GM accounted for the 20% discounts they have to offer twice a year. To move Camaros. Tells ya how much profit per unit they built into price per unit.:lol:
