oh yeah I was there a 9:30 this morning.

That one was Guard, and it looks a million times better on the Mustang than on the Fusion.
Ah damn, I rolled up around 2. I did the really early thing yesterday at the BMW drivingisbelieving event, that was a lot more fun, but the ecoboost felt nicer than the 5 series they gave us for autoX. I mustve missed the Guard

Have to say I expected more from the 2.3, didn't feel much different than 3.7's I've driven. There is lag, it's fine after it spools up a little but immediately off the line it felt a sluggish. Maybe cause I'm used to the 5L which will rip the axle off the back of the car if you look at the gas pedal. And they let us drive out on the main road too and in sport mode. The guy was pretty cool, he kept telling me to floor it, and had me come to a stop and launch.

But after we drove over to the course there was a GT PP waiting. They take you out in that and I wasn't really expecting the thrashing they were about to do to that car. It was great, I thought we were gonna crash more that once. The course was a little small and the guy I had was crazy. I flew up out of my seat several times and felt like I was gonna slip out from the seat belt. He had the car completely sideways a few times, was drifting around turns and did a couple of hard 180/donuts. The most terrifying part was that there were light poles in the lot and he came really close to some of them.

And i got a T-shirt.

Im not sure if we got the same driver for the GT, but ours did some pretty cool throws and drifts as well. I am pretty amazed the car didnt breakdown. Lmao.

Yeah the Guard was parked over by the course in the back it wasn't being used, it had a bunch of someone's stuff in it, one of them was probably using it as a personal car..

Sounds like a good time all-around.
I know what you mean about the 2.3.
My wife just bought a Lincoln MKC 2.3 EB and it goes like hell if you give it time to spool up. I'm used to V8's and miss the instant throttle response imo.

I was thinking the same thing, didn't think it would last the rest of the day. In the morning they had a truck full of wheels and tires, which made scene after that ride.

I was there from 930-1130 that was my mach 1 next to the yellow one :). The eco boost was pretty fast I was shocked with a tune n bolt ons will be an animal. I was one of the first for the ride along in the gt, he was one of the stunt drivers for fast n furious. Holy shit the gt is a beast I couldn't believe how it felt so fast. He was doing donuts n drifts with me it was awesome I m going back tomorrow lmao

I test drove a couple of 2014 GTs but never the way the guy spun the new 15 5.0 around the course today. That thing is wicked and I don't see how anyone could complain about that being "slow" compared to a 2014 or what have you. The 15 5.0 is a beast and I'm pretty sure after that I will be ordering this week instead of waiting. If your in the area tomorrow or they're coming buy you soon it's definitely worth checking out as this guy can drive that's for sure! :hail: badass. Woulda been nice to meet fellow members there but maybe soon when we all have our ponies

Absolutely agree. This car felt unbreakable all the mean while the driver looks like he wanted to destroy it. He did a 2nd to 3rd shift that jerked the car so violently I thought the driveshaft was dropping! Give me a lot of confidence on the kind of abuse the car is capable of taking.

On another, we should definitely gather the NY charter of M6G once we get the cars. Sign me up for that meet!
