Wow. Myrtle Beach. When I lived in NC, I used to go down there and raise heck in the summer. That place was the first and last time I ever drank a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20
Ahh, I remember you. You were that edgy guy that stopped the shenanigans at "heck" and was too afraid to go all the way to "hell" mode. :D You should have joined us, hell mode was fun :headbang:
My first bottle of MD 20/20 was the back roads leading to Myrtle Beach. Actually headed that way to buy an old Chevy 348 engine in a junk yard. Buddy brought along a bottle of MD 20/20 and dared me to drink it. After I finished it off, I was like "OK, what else do you have to drink?" I was a heavy user of Budweiser in those days. MD was grape juice for me.

I remember that trip like it was yesterday. Got pulled over since my friend was driving a lot truck on dealer plates. 3 of us in the cab. Young black back roads cop trying to make a name for himself. He was trying his best to get us on something, but we were on dealership business since that lot car needed that old locked up 348 :D Lot's of yes sir's and no sir's were thrown around by us. It's all that guy wanted. Ahh...the '80's were so much fun!

Great pictures. I think for 2017 I will have to trek up from Tampa.

Looks like it's going to be in September next year. I'm fine with that!

It gets sooo hot in July lol

Nick C.
This is the first I've heard of this...Interesting.

No official announcement as of yet though, correct?

I could do September just fine...We are in SEMA booth mode during that time, but I think I can swing it.

There is nothing I see on their fb or instagram about september.... that makes like zero sense tooo... school just got back in and alot of us mustang owners are parents lol

and it's still hot as F in sc in sept... 100% humidity and still hit 100 lol. usually in mid to low 90s but the humidity still wrecks face. doesn't cool off here until the 80s until late october/nov. although the beach is always 5 degrees cooler than the middle of the state where i'm at.

It's been hot as balls and miserable here this year so I'm ready for fall.

well here it is

from svtp article:

"Next year Mustang Week will start on Labor Day, September 4, and run through September 10. So, it will still be a summertime event, but later in the year when the temperatures and the crowds start to wane in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina."

Well that sucks. While yes it is officially still summer, it isn't summer vacation anymore. Most schools start in August, while the rest usually start that week. I was planning on going next year with the family, but now I'm not. My kids can't afford to miss a week of school. I wonder how much attendance will drop now. I guess it isn't meant to be a family event. Lame.

No one from Maryland with kids will be able to attend now. They just passed legislation that all Md schools will now start after Labor Day. Don't have kids but it's still an odd time for it. Not sure I'll be going.

It's not good to hear many members can't attend now, but Mustang6g.com will be there!

Looking forward to another great year at Mustang Week and the 2nd Annual Mustang6g.com #MustangWeek Meetup.
