You would need to find a buyer who wants to pay more than the dealer. Supercharger or not doesn't add to the value imo unless you find a private buyer who's looking for a supercharged car...
Well...of course one has to find a buyer who wants a blown car and is willing to pay what it is worth. Just because the market is small for a blown car doesn't mean that it has less value. Also, one would be a total sap if they thought they would get a fair offer at a dealer. Do you think that the dealer will let you buy a blown car for the cost of a stocker? Nah.

I don't mean that to sound bitchy...

I have modified many vehicles ove the years and you will never get back what you put into it. Kinda like most things in life that are for the fun factor. Damn wonder how I get back all that fun time so many years ago😁

Same for a car left stock, no? (Except for today's weird market)

I am not talking about making a profit (or even breaking even). However, to assume that a blown car has the same resale value as a stocker is just wrong IMO. Again, just because your market is small does not mean something has less value.

I will say that if the install was a hack job or the car was beat to shit then certainly it would have less resale value...but that is a condition issue and not necessarily a devaluation due to an aftermarket blower install.

The dealer where I bought the car does not install superchargers. However, I asked the used car sales manager, with whom I have a good relationship, about resale with a supercharger. He told me that if I kept receipts and had it installed at a Ford dealership it would definitely add value if I traded it in....roughly 50-60% of the cost of the installed supercharger in the first couple of years....but less as time went on. He even recommended a Ford Performance dealership in the area.

I have never had any intention of selling or trading but I was simply curious before I added the SC.
