Funny that there is no mention of the Mustang at all. Not under the list of all the cars they do or under future cars.

Just before the car was taken off the site the price had increased by ÂŁ900.

This coincides with the change in VED laws that any new car above 255g/km will get charged ÂŁ2000 on-top of the purchase price (but be charged pittance per year afterwards to level it out).

For 255g/km it used to be ÂŁ1100 - ergo the extra ÂŁ900.

So Ford know they aren't going to be able to get any new cars to us Brits until late 2016/early 2017 when the new VED laws take effect. But they can't keep 2015's rolling down the line holding up the retooling for 2016 models for their home market in the USA.

They've clearly sold WAY more Mustangs here than they originally expected. After all, there was only supposed to be one allocation of 1200 and we now know that increased to two full allocations, and in order to stop the waiting list from being 12 miles long in 6pt font, they've had to remove the Mustang entirely from circulation. Anyone who walks into a dealer now will be told that they can't even fill out a waiting list form.

So it's back...

Can anyone see a difference? Same price (Ecoboost anyway), insurance quote still won't work, no more description on extras etc.

Just had a look & you can now...it's all changed but not the price. Still having an explore but it looks like they have just swapped all of the photos for the recent EU ones. Some of the photos are still LHD though lol. Nice new photo of the RHD interior that I haven't seen before - looks sweeet

Looks like they have moved the start/stop button - phew!

Btw - Does anyone know whether you still get the big screen if you dont spec the sat nav?

Im not going with any options beyond the auto box and the blue paint but would prefer the big screen for the reserving camera rather than the little US spec screen.

None of the Ford dealers I've spoken to seem to know

It's funny that the dealers know virtually nothing, frustrating also. But yes, all EU spec Mustangs have the big 8 inch touch screen. Looks pretty cool from what I have seen.

Hi Leeky

I'm 99.9999999% sure if you go through the configurator tool and read the 'standard features' description it says you get an 8" colour screen with DAB radio regardless of whether you go for sat nav.

All UK models get the big screen even of you have not ticked Sat Nav.

Anyone tried the insurance quote on the config page?

It let me fill in all my details and even had 2015 V8 GT but it then said that it could not quote me.

Now either that is because the car doesn't exist yet and I could only ask for insurance up to 30 days in the future or because I live in London.

I phoned ford insurance last week, they couldn't give me a figure because they are not on the system until the rhd are officially built.
