My wife and I went to lunch an hour ago. I picked out a "safe" place to park. Finished lunch and went out to get in car. Got in and could see someone in mirror waiting on my spot. From the angle, I couldn't tell more.

I put the car in R and started watching the camera. As I turned, his front end came into view. It was a Ruby Red GT waiting on the "safe" spot! I pulled up so he could get in.

He got out of the car and waved. I dropped the window and waved back.

It felt good to know he got the safe parking spot for his. There were other places he could have parked, but I guess he saw my wife get into the passenger side and waited for me to come out.

Anyway.........that's my little feel good story for the day:D

I used to park my POS car anywhere. Now when I parking in a lot, i park far from the entrance. it's always amusing to see other new/nice cars parked in the middle of nowhere for the same reason.

Love those stories. I also like when there's a Mustang (typically one that looks in great shape and/or modded) with a spot next to it in a packed parking lot, or when i'm parking in the city. I feel like I can trust them to not ding or scratch my car.

I always park in the "safe spot" at work and at other places. But one day at the movies, this backfired on me. I parked 2 spaces over from another 2015 stang V6. There was an empty spot between us. I just had wiped down my car, in preparation to go to a Mustang Meet after the movie. When I came out there was a small block of wood on my hood, yes I said a block of wood, with 3 pink sticky notes on the wood. The first said "Did you find the dent yet!!!" The 2nd said " 'JK' with a smiley face at the bottom and the 3rd said "I love your car". As you can imagine the first one really pissed me off. I was looking all over my car for any dents or scratches. Fortunately the wood was placed on my Invisible bra, so damage or scratches to the hood. I figured that it was the driver, probably a young, not so bright girl, of the 2015 V6 car, because it was gone when I got back. If she liked the car why didn't she just put the notes on the windows or under the windshield wiper? I did not understand the purpose of the wood on my car. NO RESPECT!! Some girls don't understand how anal some guys are about their cars, and I am one of those guys!!

I found a cigarette on my hood this morning. My car is parked in front of my apartment building below balconies.

That was extremely disrespectful. Maybe someone will return the "joke" to her.

I work for 2 new car dealerships......20 years on the job come June 19th. I was the service manager for 12 years before moving up the corporate ladder. I have seen some really stupid things done to cars. I am hyper careful when it comes to my car, and more so when it comes to yours. I protect mine and yours when in a parking lot. WHY can't everyone else do the same?

bc most people are a-holes. take a super market parking lot for example, which is more common? 1) seeing people returning their shopping carts to the designated return section or seeing people leaving the carts anywhere, including close to someone else's car or taking up an empty spot?

Seems like the safest place to park is right next to the cart return as there are no carts to be found nearby.

Heck yeah for Mustang buddies! This is an old pic, but today I caught a 'Stang at the corner of my eye & purposely pulled over and got gas next to a black 2015 GT! He was a cool guy and damn did his car sound so good!

At work I put the cover over the car in addition to using a relatively safe spot. Unfortunately 2 guys from work saw me taking off the cover. They treated me like I was some kind of nut

I'm all for parking all the way in the back, but this kind of parking pisses me off so much. Your car requires one spot, use that one spot
