Yeah, same thing happened to me "misfire" the Fix was after calling Ford; the dealership were told Ford is still "working on it" and to just reset it....
Is this just on the ecoboost? not on GT?
If i get this 3 more times i'm going to texas lemon law it and aim for a GT
I was trying to not get upset about it, because I really love this car, but dang! It's a new car!

Can you use lemon law by just 3 times engine light?

Only if you've had it in to a Ford Service dealer (a set amount of times in 365 days- 3, maybe) and they've tried to fix it each time but were unsuccessful. Check your Lemmon laws for your area.

Not sure if it depends on state or federal/country.

Depends on your local laws, and you will need to have taken it to your dealership for them to attempt the fix the problem ( you are required to give them 4 attempts in texas) within certain guidelines or what not and since ford doesn't know the exact problem..... as far as I'm concerned this is hurting the market value of a car not even 3 weeks old. I'm just playing the devils advocate with this, I love my pony and want it to be ok!

Anyone check with their dealerships if Ford has that end of June fix pending? My dealership knows nothing of the sort....and no ETA.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give everyone here an update, it's been a while since I've posted anything.

Earlier this month I was told by someone high up at Ford that they would have a fix for this issue by the end of June. Supposedly, that came from the engineer who's working on the issue.

They believe it to be what he called a "ghost issue" meaning that the CEL is not associated with any real problem happening to the engine. This is despite the fact I and several others have reported rough starts and idles, obvious signs of a misfire. My belief is that the fix will not resolve the actual issue for some time if ever. (research the F-150 ecoboost issue)

I would urge anyone who is having this issue to take their vehicle to the dealer and have it documented.

Take some time and review your legal rights in your state.

-Danny.

I picked up my car today after bringing it in for the CEL a 6th time. The service advisor said they have the fix finally. They reprogrammed it, it messed up the tire pressure monitoring system but they took care of that while I waited. We will see if this solves the problem.

Just called my dealer, the issue is solved on 20th, and I will bring my car back tomorrow. You may contact your dealer regarding to this problem.

Just got back from having my PCM updated by my dealer. I stopped in out of the blue and asked the service guy if he'd gotten the update. He checked OASIS and saw that there is one. Took about 20 minutes and I was out of there. CEL hadn't been on for about a month and now hopefully it's gone for good. He said the car will now have to relearn some parameters, but that I shouldn't notice it.

Check your dealers!

Just my luck, Canadian dealerships don't have the fix yet, because of our different emission standards and such. Dealership said it is usually a 2 week to a month time lag for Canadians.... Yippy!

I guess it's not too bad, my american peeps can help me troubleshoot haha :), I'm just happy I can finally tune the car soon.

WOW that's some BS lol I at the dealership for my first oil change and they didn't bother to check OASIS. Sounds like I'm headed to the dealer this weekend!

Fix is available in Canada and my car has been fully reprogrammed. I noticed the car Idles a lot smoother during cold starts and seems to be acting as it should be. Fully happy now.... now time for tuning!!!
