Yeah and just to not mess with the results I also have been filling up only with chevron 91 for the time being. None of the usual arco or no brand gas just to keep with consistency

My CEL went on yesterday after ~250 miles... Right after putting in 87 octane for my second fill-up... but it was not under cold conditions (it was 55 F and garaged overnight). Trying to get into dealer to get code pulled, but there are no obvious issues that I can see.

Sounds like there's a lot of crappy gas usage goin on. I wouldn't use cheap gas during the break in period at least, just doesn't seem like a good idea. I'm at 6,500 miles and I've only filled with regular one time, never had any issues or lights

Agreed - I wanted to see what the HP difference between 91 and 87 felt like. Probably a bit premature.

Let us know what happens.....

When I received the car they put in 87, when the check engine light turned on I put 93 with half a tank of gas. Went to the dealership to at least have the CEL reported and followed what Dabsevo did and it worked for me. Filled up the 3rd time with Shell 93 and it been off so far.

I have used 91 but the CEL still came back initially.

But anyway, right now it has.. 935 miles. I don't remember exactly but I think I cleared the code and put in the fuel cleaner 200-300 miles ago? That's the longest stretch I've gone without it coming back while all monitors are ready.

I'm hoping the fuel cleaner was it. Cheap ass fix if it was.

Also I never dealt with cold conditions here in CA so I doubt the weather had much to do with it it.

I've never run it with anything other than 93 and it's been going on and off on it's own every several days. I don't think it's a gas issue. Still waiting to hear from my dealer who thinks it's software.

Yeah sounds weird. Someone said the GT software is going to come out on 4/17 maybe they'll have one for the ecoboost

I hope your right, it would suck if they left us out. I guess the countdown begins.

I got 8400 miles on my ECOboost PP with no CEL issues. I've only put 91 octane on my car from various gas station brands (Chevron, ARCO, 76, Exxon Mobil). I tend to stick with Chevron and 76 since they are close to home. Don't have 93 octane gas here in Cali .

Called dealership to see if any new TSB's came out for the Ecoboost but one one had any idea, so I left my number for a call back. Light has been going on and off during high temp drops as usual for cold starts.

Anyone have any luck from in the states?
