That's interesting because he specifically said to me that if I had an auto it wouldn't be happening. Do you notice it right at start up?Good to know, of course I got an auto and still have the problem lol
How many miles since the Ecu clear + fuel
cleaner?
I picked up my car. Thank GOD the technician was respectful and didn't mess with anything. Only put 2 miles on the car. I have a dash cam so it recorded everything and I have no complaints. He even used the fender liners.
Anyway, for my car they ran some diagnostics by hooking it up to the computer. He seemed to do research on the computer. I don't know what exactly was done for the troubleshoot. All I know is the actual work that was done is they replaced the 4 spark plugs and cleared the code. Work order says they also did pin point test. Anyway, the one person on here that had their problem go away was speedprotege and it was after cleaning his spark plugs. So hopefully it doesn't come back.
When I put my code reader in, it still detected a P0300 but the monitors were flashing so I dont know. There's no CEL on the dash. I'm going to put 100-200 miles on it and see if it comes back or not.
I'm assuming just stock ones? I have no clue actually he replaced all 4 but it doesn't say what kind or what gap. If it solves the problem i'll find out more detailsRoughly 200 miles. I'm actually going to scan the car right now. Let's see if anything pops up.
Do you know what plugs they replaced your stock ones with and @ what gapp?
After tonight i will have put roughly 300 Miles since the reset of ECU & Fuel cleaner + 94. Will report back after I get home.FYI: my cel came back on last night as I suspected after putting about 50 miles on it. It was after the 3rd start as I was warming it up. I'll be surprised if it's as simple as changing the plugs, but keep us posted, those of you who've done that. I plan to drive it as usual until I hear from my dealer with Ford's fix. Not gonna stress about it.
I can absolutely understand your point because the poor quality some dealers are showing together with the poor quality of the car FORD did deliver is a shame. I know that in the 80's Ford had in Europe such a bad reputation in quality, especially in rust protection, that nobody really bought a Ford. The Mustang brings old memories back, I thought, would stay in the past. This is the most disappointed I've ever been with any car purchase and I've purchased a lot of new cars. I purchase a new car about every two years. This is probably the last Ford I will ever buy!![]()
Thanks. My fuel tank is almost empty so I'm going to run a bottle of Chevron Techron through it for safe measures. but I put on 85 miles since I picked up my car from the dealer after they replaced the spark plugs and there's no CEL. Still too early to say..Hey guys since the ECU Reset + Fuel System Cleaner + 94 gas I have logged over 350 Miles. CEL has no come back on. I strongly believe something in the fuel system (or plugs etc) may be causing the CEL's. Give it a try, it may be worth the few bucks & time to pull the battery for 5 mins or so.
