FYI, for ppl with s550 with cooled seat, if you drive over bumps, your front passenger seat makes this springy rattle noise, but it isn't there when u have a passenger.

Here is the cause:
There is a cooling assembly inside the back of your seat, just above the pocket. It is tied there by a zip tie. And the tail of the zip tie was not trimmed, it rubs against the metal wires that are going across your seat, hence the springy rattle noise. When u have a passenger with you. The weight stops it from making that noise.

Simply remove your seat, and trim that tail off will eliminate this noise.

And if you have a 2020 and it clicks but only with a passenger in the seat, you probably need to re-torque the seat bolts to make it stop clicking.

and if you have a driver seat that is making a clunk or thud noise when hitting the twisties, or making hard turns, here's the TSB fix for that:

Any pics of this and its location? Does the seat need to be removed?

Mine only did it when I had a passenger in the seat. If it was empty, no sound. I am sure it varies.

Im not sure if it's the same then, because mine only did it when the passenger seat is empty. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take pictures, I had already put the seat back, and don't want to rip it open again. Yes, you will have to remove the seat, disassemble the back & the base of the seat.

This youtube video was very helpful for me:
