At least in the GT (non SE variants), the trim is like so:

Base gets the CF-esque look, er the grid sort of pattern (no idea about the actual material)

Premium get the bright aluminum

Performance Package on either trim overrides the dash with the turned aluminum dash with the center gauges replacing the two inner AC vents (there was/is an error in the configurator that showed the standard premium dash on some colors even with PP, but that's not correct)

I think the more important question people are ignoring on the second photo is why is the Oil Pressure gauge a different backlight color than the rest of the gauges??

could be because it's got the lighting package or it's the premium, plus the fact that the pressure is low. somewhere else there's a thread about the tach turning red at redline, as well as the gas gauge when too low, and someone mentioned the oil pressure if it's too low will turn red - in this case purple but that's gotta be because of the lighting package?

Except the fake 'carbon fiber' on the V6, yes, they should all be aluminum-wrapped.

Premium lighting still matches the "Gauge Color" section across ALL gauges, so the two center colors should match the main speedo and tach.

Shouldn't be the case - the car is tuned off (look at the tach), so the oil pressure will be zero - And I can cay on my mustang, the oil pressure does not change colors when it's at zero and turned off.

No, dark aluminum is still something different (it's a textured aluminum, but not a CF-look). Fake CF is plastic and only on the V6.

i'm still leaning towards the fact that the colors on some gauges can change... egnine off could be a special circumstance where none change color, i'm trying to remember if on my '13 which had the red fuel gauge warning, was red when in accessory"key position? so maybe this photo was taken in accessory mode? or they photoshoped it or it's something we peons just don't yet understand

EDIT: if it's the accessory mode thing, i should be able to see it turn red even though i don't have the mylighting package or whatever it's called.

Yeah, there's three dash finishes, one each for Base vs. Premium then the 3rd, for the PP - FWIW, it's not a turned "look", it's actually turned aluminum.

No, dark aluminum is still something different (it's a textured aluminum, but not a CF-look). Fake CF is plastic and only on the V6.

Ahh, thanks for that clarification, that's generally why I just speak in the context of GTs, since there's even _more_ variants with non-GTs (and that even excludes yet additional variants with LE/SE models!)

V6: Plastic Carbon fiber 'look'

EB/GT Base: Textured dark aluminum

EB/GT Premium: Brushed bright aluminum

EB/GT Perf Pack: Turned Aluminum

GT Calif. Special: Brushed dark aluminum
