Only a few people were having problems with the tranny, mine shifts perfectly. I will get a manual transmission on this new one

I wish I had your luck. Three fluid changes, three clutch packs, and two transmissions before my 2011 GT had 20,000 miles on it. I swore back then I would never give Ford another dime of my money. Time heals wounds, though, and my car was beautiful once they got it "right" for 3 solid years. And I'll get the MT82 in my S550.

Most disgusting part of it? The community turned on those of us having issues as crybabies, whiners, and critiqued our shifting having never seen us shift anything. Everyone knows Ford has never built a defective product in it's storied history.

I hope the revised linkage works this time around. And please, Ford, properly torque the bolts on the pressure plate this time...

Pardon my ignorance, but does the shifter use cables or a more direct linkage?

It wasn't everyone's fault, just a few extra squeaky wheels demanding lube constantly. Back when the trouble first started I tried helping a few forum guys being that I'm a tech(MB not Ford) and I could definitely feel the frustration but some people conveyed it much better than others.

"new transmission oil cooler" is listed as a feature in our Ford sourcebook under the manual transmission section, seems interesting.. curious to see what exactly it is.

My uncle has a 2012 or 2013 Boss 302 and when we were discussing my future purchase of a 2015 he was trying his best to convince me of getting an automatic. In his opinion the manual tranny was "Chinese junk". This thread makes me think he's not the only one who thinks this way.

The shifter in the 2015 has a much more mechanical feel and the shift gates are much more easily found. It felt better than my 2011 GT with MGW shifter as far as positive shift feel, much shorter throw than the current stock shifter and minimal NVH.

Also the clutch pedal feels extremely light compared to my 2011
