When my first clutch went they tried blaming the headers, making more power they said...lol. Fortunately they were a Roush dealer. I pointed at a stage 3 on their showroom floor...same trans and same clutch .. They didn't argue after that, full warranty replacement. Get the area Ford Customer Service Rep involved. Talk to the General Manager of the dealership...push back...HARD!!!

was there any 1st-2nd shift problems before this? Grinding? Are you running the OEM transmission oil ? My guess is 2nd gear dog teeth are worn, as in this video :

my thing is what the hell does hot spots on a clutch have to do with the car poping out of second gear.
The stock clutch is fine, and holds a pretty good amount of power... I've seen these clutches hold 2 kits (not for long)
You are welcomed to get it diagnosed at any Ford Dealer, Gas Genie. Also, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number. I’ll get this escalated if needed.

I would contact deyesha on here and find yourself a reputable ford dealership! They can not say there are hot spots on the clutch without even taking the trans out!
Thank you for the mention, seth21w!

Roush dealer is a good idea. Look at the Roush or Ford Performance website for Roush S/C Authorized dealers, and go to one of them. If you exhaust is loud, you might mod it back to something more stock so that it doesn't draw too much attention.

Thank you for sharing the Ford Performance links, mustang1.
