305s on PP 9.5 wheels....it's fine and looks good.
Those 305mm tires are 19's and are 27.9" tall. The OP is looking to put ET Street's on 20" OEM Ford wheels, which are 27.3" tall tires measuring 265/35ZR20's. That give these 19" tires a 1.6" sidewall increase over the OP's 20" tires. More sidewall usually increases the approved wheel width range, and those 305mm tires are approved for 10" to 12" wide wheels. The pictured car with 305mm tires are only 0.5" outside the approve range, which is why it still looks reasonable.

Now since the OP is referring to the Ford 20" wheels, those are 20x 9.0", while the GT PP rear wheels are 19x 9.5" wide.

All in all, too many thing working against the OP's options, mostly the 20" wheels.

Side note, the 2016 Mustang GT350 (not the R) comes with 305/35ZR19 rear tires on 10.5" wide wheels.

Thanks guys, how many miles should I be expecting? I'm hoping for at least 5000. 275/40r20 mt et street ss. I read on another forum a guy got 16000 out of the nitto 555r, That's why I was considering them..but mt seems to hook a lot better

You'll get a lot more miles out of a 555R as the compound is not as soft as the MT but they also do not hook as good. It all depends on how you drive on the tires. I've had 555R's last anywhere between one oil change to 10k miles. The MT's tend to not last anywhere near as long. I almost never got more than 3k miles out of daily driving on them without really beating on the car, maybe 2-3 trips to the track.

I have NT555R and they're wearing terribly. It seems the camber of the IRS is killing them. I have 10-15 passes on them, 15-20 burnounts, and 2000-3000 miles and they're at 50% remaining if I am lucky. half of the miles were at 500+ RWHP

I would've run a 305 on 9" wheel either. But, I run 305s on my PP 9.5" wheel all of the time.
What are you running for front tires?
