I might go but my stang is base non PP that is stock minus air filter and catch can. I might want to do some suspension work before I hit the track.

If I go, might do it just to hang out with everyone.
You should drive your car on the track. It is not a race and there is no trophy so you do not need worry about upgrades at this point.

I agree. Take it on the track. And if you continue you will see the affect the upgrades will have.

I ran two events in stock form. My first event was more car than I could handle for 8 sessions. I didn't hit the max on my second event either. I could probably run a third event and still not reach its full potential.

Now that the second event is over I have a full suspension upgrade in preparation for my third event. That along with some lightweight forged aluminum wheels that have been sitting in my storage.

FYI track insurance was 206 for 1 event when bought through track night in America.

This was a blast. I would rate this more fun than the fredricksburg trip for 2 reasons. 1. No rock chips! 2. No speeding ticket!.

Oh and what a reality check to let you know just how bad of a driver you are.

You could have asked anyone in the group...we'd have told you how bad a driver you are. LMAO! (You asked for that one!)

Glad you had a good time. I need to do this someday, but it will require taking a day off work.

We could register for an event out there in Aug-Sept. Go down Friday, have dinner and drive on Sat. There are a few 1 day events and 2 day events the next several months.

You can go to Motorsportreg.com and search for events in the area.

http://www.motorsportreg.com/calend...2.78&lng=-96.80&loc=Dallas,+TX,+United+States

A quick preview of what is coming up.
Apex Driving Academy has a couple 1 day events at Motorsport Ranch.
Sept 10 and Oct 1.

I plan on registering for TheDriversEdge events Sept-Dec. They are two day events. I've been to two of theirs and am registered for July 9-10.

A novice gets an instructor who rides in the car with you.

Post up if you're interested. Registration for the events is usually 8 weeks in advance. They sell out fast.
