Motorcraft 5W30 full synthetic @ $6.29/qt.

Looked for the best price online and found this place. Never heard of them before, but the site looks legit and the price beats Amazon by a lot. $5.39 for the FL500S filter. They're charging $10.95 for shipping, plus sales tax. They have other brands (Motul, etc.) but with my extended warranty I like to stick with OEM stuff.

Try rock auto, filter might be a little more but they won't kill you on shipping especially if you don't need it tomorrow. Plus you can buy 2 or 3 at a time and save on shipping.

Then you should probably put in the correct oil viscosity as called in the manual. It's spec'd for 5w20 not 5w30.

That's a whole 'nother debate. I was never comfortable with the 5w20 spec, and when they changed it to 5w30 for the exact same engine I got a new oil fill cap and started using 5w30. If they say to use 5w50 for track days, I can't see them objecting to 5w30.

Oh I thought you meant the filter.. Your car but you can get a full synthetic oil that's probably better at walmart and no shipping

Seriously a lot of the lower price places charge crazy shipping prices so over all price is usually higher. Some Walmart's do carry the motor craft oil in gallons. But my oil is better !! Joking

also keep in mind that rockauto does those end of year discount deals where you can stock up on stuff, it's what I do

Agree. I bought 10 quarts (2 5qt size) of Mobil 1 for $49.90 and a Mobil 1 filter for $12.

I use Amsoil Signature series full synthetic 5w30 on the Mustang GT and have a "preferred cutomer" account. And if you make over $100.00 purchase, they often times ship for free. Worth it to me. Check out www.amsoil.com
