My dealer told me that I have an issue with my ordered mustang that is common among the new mustangs. Apparently the new mustangs that were recently built have a module that needs to be replaced.

Has anyone heard of this and/or does anyone have any information?

I was told Ford expects this issue to be fixed by November 15th.

Maybe a seat belt/air bag  a small number early builds had wrong calibration shipped from supplier. I think this already resolved, if this is the issue.

I was told something similar by my area ford rep. He said that ford placed a hold on all mustangs (obviously isnt true since people are still receiving theirs) and the plan to have them all inspected and released by November 6th.

I've never ordered a car before, but are all new car launches always done this poorly? Or is this just an extreme case?

I ordered a mustang in 2012 and it was quick and painless. I do not find this one to be too bad. However, Ford should definitely be giving more information to consumers.
