Thinking the same tbh for the GT, stock exhaust tone sounds ok in most videos (wee bit quiet for a V8) Not wanting in your face loud so probably Ford Racing Borla touring will be my exhaust of choice.

Like the idea of the Roush active exhaust, but think that means quad tip and changing rear valance etc??
Yes it will, there is a valance replacement or you can get the hack saw out:D..
I had an F-Type S for 2 days a few weeks ago and being able to go quiet when in the home street or turning up for meetings and then balls out ferocious on a nice b-road was really cool.

sqaure number plates - legal over here or not? Thinking about the "sto n sho" bracket they have in the states with square plates for a bit of an american vibe...think its a better look than the long plates we got.
Mind you, it will be a challenge to stop ford drilling holes in the bumper for whatever hideous bracket they conjur up...

I'm going to do the exact same! Plan to get a square plate that have outside sizes tye same as USA but keep internal font and spacing legit for UK. Jag XF and Range Rovers can do it that way! As long as plate internals are legal we should be ok :ninja:

Yes, I am with you on the faux gas cap. What sort of word is FAUX anyway? Why dont they just say FAKE.
I want a Mustang on the front and a GT badge on the back. That GT badge is one change I intend making.
These are the MOD's I already received, just waiting for the car which was assembled today ! :headbang:

Not sure if I'll use the lower grill part however as I would have to deconnect the block heater or make some changes in the grill...

asked my dealer about plates...
- although the dealers fit the plates, the surround/mounting plate is supplied and fitted by ford. So i'm guessing drill holes in the bumper :(
- You cannot mix square & long plates - in case anyone was thinking of doing it, probably get away with it but it's not legal...

Personally i'm not keen on square plates with the UK size lettering anyway. Look ok on 4x4s.

Only thing I might have considered was having the thing stuck on the bonnet but I guess there are rules against that too? Plus there'd still be the bumper holes to deal with...

It's a struggle trying to have fun motoring in the UK

I hate front plates but its something we have to put up with I guess. Last car was an Alfa 159 and they just chucked them on to one side. Somehow it worked.

There was a time when you could have back and silver plates if you had a pre 73 (i think) private plate. I assume this does not apply anymore. If it did I was thinking of having a black over the top stripe the same size as the plates so the plates become part of the stripe. I may still do it for shows and photos.

Anyone north of Birmingham thinking about All Season or winter shoes for their Pony?

If so what do people think would be best ones to go for?

Are our cars gonna disappear like other fast Ford's? I suspect they'll probably will.
Not sure about that considering that they will be quite rare and will stand out alongside European cars, maybe the thieves will have the sense to know with such a niche car that they are going to get caught pretty quick.

Might just 'all season' it when the Pirellis run out. Ideally I'd keep a winter set and swop every six months (as I do now). However, storage is bit of a pain, and each time you get them changed, there's a chance they'll scratch the wheels or f*ck something up (and then deny it obviously). Recently had all four wheels on a car damaged by the buffoon of a tyre fitter.
