You are aware those numbers represent less than 1% of those receiving Covid vaccines? That's damn good odds!
The odds are actually drastically better than that because the numbers being quoted come from VAERS rather than from the results of any formal investigation.

If roughly 2.8 million Americans die each year (normally) and half of them were vaccinated, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that with ~ 27,000 vaccinated Americans dying each week, it wouldn’t take long before people begin to lodge a case in VAERS because a death occurred within x time period post-vaccination.

It’s actually quite amazing that the VAERS doesn’t show a much larger number.

I have heard a number of people claim to be allergic to the ingredients but not one instance where they could substantiate that claim. The basic ingredients are the same for all vaccines, so those same people would have been allergic to polio, small pox, etc. vaccine.

Hello; Afraid the statement above is not correct. The more traditional types of vaccine were made in a very much different manner than the mRNA vaccines. The new covid vaccines are the mRNA type.
Traditional vaccines had to be made from large amounts of live virus. To grow a live virus, you had to use some living substrate. Chicken eggs were used to grow virus. So, any one allergic to egg products would be affected.
I am not certain large animals such as horses were used to make vaccines exactly but were used to make medications. Perhaps antibody-based medications. Some are allergic to horse serum product.

The mRNA vaccines are a new sort of vaccine that does not use live hosts or live virus is what I have read and also posted about in a different thread.

The Johnson and Johnson is not an
mRNA vaccine. Get your facts straight. That is why I requested that one.

Yikes, people going out of their way to tell other people they are wrong.....why does anyone really care what the other person on here does when it comes to vaccinations? EVERYONE is always right, regardless lol. Oh, I think I know the answer.

There are plenty of people that don't allow their kids to be vaccinated for anything and there are plenty that does allow them to be vaccinated for all the "normal" illnesses...if they can be called normal .......we don't see those huge discussions about who is right or wrong on here.
If one of those “normal” illnesses was raging across the country right now, I’m guessing the discussion would probably come up.

Neglectful parenting isn’t a new concept.

Hello; Interesting. I did not try to do a detailed post on all vaccines, just how MRNA can be different than traditional vaccines in terms of allergic reactions. Whay facts did I get wrong?

So I take it you think it makes a difference for people on here to argue why or why not "someone" should get vaccinated?

It depends.
If people are basing their decision on faulty information AND they’re willing to change their mind when presented with the correct information, then yes.
If they’re simply going to stick to their guns, regardless of the evidence presented to them, then no.

Call me naive, but I’d like to think that the majority of people are willing to change their mind as the evidence changes.

I agree but can't say that I've read that anyone on this forum has changed their stance.

I understand but your post said all three vaccines are mRNA.

“Hello; Afraid the statement above is not correct. The more traditional types of vaccine were made in a very much different manner than the mRNA vaccines. The new covid vaccines are the mRNA type.”

Your last line in incorrect. The J&J does not use messenger RNA. That’s all I’m saying on it.

Mine has changed several times as the evidence has changed. I can’t speak for others.

You used an important word "evidence". Would you take my word on a forum as evidence?

Hello; No sure what to make of this. I did distinguish by using the word new. My sentence - "The new covid vaccines are the mRNA type.” I did not intend to confuse. I often write very long posts in order to be detailed but thought I had made the point well enough.

If a pharma company uses traditional methods or some method other than mRNA making their vaccines things such as allergic reactions will be different.

If you’re accurately describing something that’s been published in a respected, peer-reviewed journal, and you include the original study, most likely yes.
Pre-prints can be interesting, but I tend not to place too much faith in them.
Outside of that, probably not, except in some limited circumstances.

Are you suggesting that not getting children vaccinated for covid is neglectful parenting?

Right now? I don’t know.
I’d like to see more literature on it before making that assessment.
I actually had a theoretical argument with my sister (a pharmacist) over this.

I played devils advocate, inventing numbers for the risk of death from covid for 7-12 year olds. Let’s call it 1:1,000,000. I then inserted a risk of 3:1,000,000 from the vaccine (entirely fictitious numbers used to illustrate the point). Her position was that even if the vaccine tripled a child’s risk of death, it was worthwhile for the benefit “society”.
Needless to say, a robust discussion was had. Not sure that she fully understood my point.
