^exactly. What they just released is a diffuser, what people are calling "the outer piece" is a valance. All of the above are part of the premium rear bumper.

Ive been hoping for the valance to come out. Ive been trying to find a take off from someone changing to the 350 valance so i can see if it can be modified fit the base without having to cut the bumper up.

Diffuser looks good to me ,without the whole prem Gt one that goes around the pipes
It will be matt black compared to the premium GT one painted.

Mines ordered and shipped Gonna take risk since there are no installed pics.

I already have the MMD grille, and was impressed with the quality, so I am sure this rear diffuser fits very well.

I think it will look great very close to OEM looking and in black?

I'm really on the fence for this one. Something tells me this piece won't accomplish the alternating color contrast of the premium bumper. I feel like instead of being a slick looking piece of black trim, it will look more like the 2011-2012 rear bumpers where there's just a chunk of black plastic that doesn't add aesthetic beauty. Also, us base owners won't have connected ground effects coming up from behind the wheels without a matching valance

Another thing for me would be if a valance don't come out, I think a plastidip job could make this look pretty good, but we still don't have quite the same beefy edges coming up behind our wheels and merging into our rear bumper. I can't really describe that any other way--ours are smaller and more unfinished looking.

For $187 after discount, I'll use it as a dinner tray if don't like the look of it

It'll depend on the color of the car...the brighter and this piece may not be enough to break the contrast back there. But of course, some Plasti-Dip will fix that right up. My dislike for the base bumper is that blank area sticking out like sore thumb. This piece will fill it nicely and making it aesthetically proper. But then again, I have a Magnetic Metallic ride so YMMV. And if I don't like it, I'll still have a ready-to-go premium bumper to install in its place.

Exactly. Can always paint it if you prefer color matched or gloss black etc.

Personally I think it will look great in the standard matte black, we shall see.
