Mishimoto Expansion Tank

Anyone having issues with the Mishimoto Expansion Tank? I've bought one and its supposed to use the stock cap, but I can't screw it down. I get about 1/4 turn and it locks solid like its cross thrreaded. Seems like the expansion tank threads are not right

I remember mine was tight turning to the last click. Is it the black version and are the threads sprayed ?

It is the black one but the threads haven't been sprayed

Have you tried giving it a little bit of force, iirc I slowly screwed mine back and forth and then it loosened up and I was able to tighten it up until it clicks ?

Failing that try Mishimoto support
