Misfire 5,6,7 & CPS Bank2 after OPG/CG

I hang my head in shame asking for help. Put in OPG/CG yesterday. Everything was going well, too well. Put it back together. Fired right up. Oil pressure is good...but missing. Codes galore. Misfires on 5, 6, 7 (not 8) and Cam Position Sensor A/B on Bank2

I thought I got a little aggressive with the wiring harness on the valve cover.

If I had jumped a tooth, shouldn't I see a miss on 8?

I checked and double checked. But I could have gotten it wrong.

But before I tear this thing apart again. Anyone have any tips? Something I might be missing?

Your timing is off like I was. Take it apart and retime

Got a question:

Step 6:

Using the special tool, rotate the crankshaft clockwise one complete revolution.


# My Comment # The crank is at the 5 o'clock position after installing the LH chain.

Step 7.

Using the special tool, rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the keyway is at the 12 o'clock position.


So do I go 5 o'clock -> 5 o'clock -> 12 o'clock (5 o'clock + one complete revolution, then the remainder of the way to 12 o'clock) or do I go from 5 o'clock to 12 o'clock?

I think roki187 did the same thing. A lot different timing the 15-16 compared to 11-14.
I've never done an 11-14. My first Ford. My first DOHC engine. All new to me. I'm just glad it started/ran and didn't bang the valves.

That's where I went wrong. I went 5 o'clock to 12 o'clock. I truly hope it is this.

So did I. Retimed and all was good.

Did you find out with misfires or? I'm curious if anyone ran theirs with 5 to 12 rather than 5 to 5 to 12. And how did you get the links to line back up?
