So my wife just found out that her work added X-Plan memberships for their employees. Now she's thinking of trading in her Kia Rio for an Ecoboost (she commutes 100 miles round trip daily). So it looks like we'll soon have a garage full of Fords, lol.

For those that have use the X-Plan, is it as simple as just saying you have it, and the dealer guarantees you a certain price with no haggling? I'm seeing a lot of different things on Google when I look it up. Thanks!

Sometimes you can get a better deal without using it ! I was going to use mine but they gave me the same deal without even using it. I did tell them I had xplan

you can join Mustang Club of america for 50 bucks and get x-plan pricing. Yes, no haggling, bottom line pricing with all incentives added.

Sometime you can actually do better than x-plan pricing with some negotiation skills and understanding where all the money is in the car to play with; like dealer hold back about 1100 on the mustangs and 750 of advertisement costs. I never pay for any of these and usually have the dealer also remove the destination charge. They will hate you, but at least you know you got a good deal. If you can still find a 2015 this should be pretty easy to do.

In summary, I would start at invoice then deduct any ford cash incentives, then deduct what I highlighted above, if you get one of the three you probably got a better deal then most. It really depends how much patients you have and your ability to negotiate and pit other dealers agains each other. I personal think it's fun and like to watch them squirm. I bought two 2015 mustangs one EB and the other one being a GT. I used X-plan on the GT since I was trading in my EB and got the 0% offer along with no destination charge and adverstiment charges. I gave them the hold back since they were giving top dollar on my EB and I didn't take a loss.

Good Luck.

If your dealer has 2015 EBs to clear out, you can get one better than x-plan. Below invoice is still happening and if your credit is tier 1/2, even 0% financing through FMC.

let them know you qualify for xplan and that is where you intend to START the negotiating process.

it all depends on the trade in of our existing car and what we can swing on the Eco. But yeah, the dealer I always buy through is pretty awesome so I'll see what he can swing

you don't need xplan. plenty of dealers out there that beat xplan by a long shot

X-Plan was great for those of us ordering before production started last summer. A lot of dealers seemed to think they were selling limited-production gold, and wanted things like $5k over MSRP. Ha! X-Plan was a way to get a pretty good deal in that market.

Now that there are more cars than buyers, much better deals can be had. Sounds like in most markets you are looking at below invoice, especially for an EB. Don't have any sympathy for the dealer. He'll make it back on your trade if you let him, and on service work in the long run.

Good luck, would love to have a 2 Mustang home. Almost got wife into an ecoboost but she wanted a small SUV instead.

Wifey was fine in her Kia until she drove my GT to work one day. Suddenly, her Kia had all these "problems" like a shitty ride and suddenly she didn't feel safe in it anymore, lol.

I'm more than happy to get an Ecoboost for her (I say "for her" even though she makes more than me, ha). I can't complain with a GT, Eco, and an Explorer.
