Hello all,
I just want to preface this post by stating that the Steeda Tri-Ax Race Spec shifter is a quality product but due to personal preference I went with a different product. This is a comparison of the two.
It's taken me a few weeks to get this up but just wanted to share my shifter input for the MGW vs. Steeda.
I had originally purchased the Steeda Tri-Ax Race Spec shifter just a couple days after taking delivery of my 2016 Mustang GT. Right away, I loved the tighter feel of the shifter and precise nature of how it demanded to be shifted. A few things bothered me. Ratchety/notchy shifting which I feel was a result of the high spring rate I chose inside the shifter and the multiple linkages within the stock shift linkage, and the cabin vibration due to the direct body mounting of the shifter Also, there was a buzzing vibration coming from the shifter itself.

Right after I installed the shifter I stumbled across the youtube video for the MGW shifter and watched it in its entirety. A couple of weeks later I ordered the unit with George's help and installed the day I received it. Every conceivable issue everyone's had with any other shifter must have been taken into consideration when designing this shifter. I have zero complaints. This thing is so well designed that even the fitment of the rubber seal/boot is so tight it couldn't have fit any better. Thought for future installers...WATCH AND LISTEN TO THEIR VIDEO ON HOW TO INSTALL THE BOOT...USE THE SOAP.
I was not a fan of the sound deadening materials provided with the Steeda so I opted to not use what was provided with the MGW shifter and was very surprised at the lack of vibration and noise from this unit.
The build quality is perfect and vibration reduction is taken into consideration with every part.
Finally, the customer service at MGW is top notch and would recommend this shifter to anyone. The best shifter that could be mounted to a MT-82 in my opinion.
Thanks MGW.

When it comes to shifters I wouldn't use anything but MGW. I had a Triax on my blown '05 years ago and it would lock me out of gears at high rpm's or when at 7k I'd go from 3rd to 4th and it would go into 2nd. Very scary situation. I put in an MGW after that and it actually took me a few months to get used to the fact that this crap wasn't going to happen anymore.
