@TusconTurbos Let us decide what you do. I'm looking at Barton over MGW right now, wondering how much an install would cost.

Thank you both for your service @TusconTurbos sstevens7

Thanks!!

I installed this myself with the help of another mustang guy. It is an easy, straight forward install. Don't pay someone to install it!

Really? that's interesting, as I've heard the MGW is a pain even with access to a lift.

Have you noticed any annoying noises etc? I've heard some guys posting about buying some sort of Bracket that Barton just came out with.

I have heard of an extra bracket that the shifter assembly now comes stock with. I believe it just stiffens everything up even more. I don't plan on going after the additional bracket for my set up is perfect IMO. If you go to Barton they show it in the picture of the product. I did not notice any new noises after the shifter install. It was a great addition and completely changes how car drives.

We put my car up on jack stands and did it while we were on our backs. I followed the how to video step by step and it wasn't difficult. A lift would have made it easier of course. Think it took us around 3 hours. Just a lot of steps. If you want to make it even easier but add more steps you can remove the drive shaft and access to everything is very easy.

Here is the video I followed and I know it says its the install for the v6 and ecoboost but it is the same for the GT...
