Hey Guys,
I've had the Blowfish bracket on my stock shifter for about 2 years and it's been awesome. I haven't had any of the issues others have had with buzzing and all that, and it fixed 90% of my shifting issues. BUT, the stock shifter still sucks. I've been actively looking for deals on an MGW and think I'm going to pull the trigger, especially if there's a Black Friday sale. SO...
Since the driveshaft will be out anyway, I'm thinking about biting the bullet and installing a DSS or similar CF unit. Because I'd be running a "1-piece" I want to have a loop on the car, especially since I DD it with 2 car seats in the back.
I've already got this awesome, beefy Blowfish bracket that cost a pretty penny and my wallet will be hurtin from buying the MGW and DSS. Can I reuse the BF bracket to retain the loop? Maybe lower the top part and nip off the "ears" where the isolators are? Anybody done this?
Thanks! :ford:
