Hello guys,

Can any of you mustang gurus explain what the below-mentioned parts' function is? How installing them will enhance our mustangs? When I read about them, I got confused and I felt like they all are doing the same thing.

I don't know much about car mechanics. So excuse me if this is a dumb question.

- BMR IRS CRADLE BUSHING LOCKOUT KIT
- Sway Bar Kit (Front & Rear)
- Subframe Support Braces IRS

Thanks in advance :hail:

My BMR just turned up today so I'll be getting it fitted in a couple of weeks. Can comment more then but the info on BMR and the video was enough for me to push the button on it

The BMR CB005 will help minimise flex in the cradle and is arguably the single biggest fix for wheel hop. The subframe support braces are just steedas versions of these products. I prefer BMR but that is a personal preference thing.

As for sway bars, here is a massive article on them. Basically they increase rigidity.
How Sway bars work

Good advice above ^
To add to the sway bar topic -
Personally, I'd be waiting to drive the car before pulling the trigger on the sways.
I can't make much comment on the standard suspension set-up in terms of roll stiffness, but if you plan to lower the car, there's a good chance you won't need to upgrade.
The lower roll centre, coupled with an uprated spring might be enough for you.
In my case, with the standard tyres, the car will slide well before any roll comes into play.
So, if keeping standard springs/fitting stickier/wider rubber etc. yes, you may want to look at your options.
Tracking the car or just want a good streeter?

Thanks, Burkey. Am not gonna lower my car because I think doing that may scrap the bottom at the edge of my driveway. And my mustang is gonna be a daily drive.

No Wuckas krishv88
The video that phil545 is referring to (I think)

I'll be fitting mine this weekend (if everything goes to plan)
Something else the CB005 achieves - correct alignment of the cradle. Some cars are off-centre. I've already checked mine using a plumb bob hung over the guards and measuring from the string to the wheels (2mm total difference, both front and rear, meaning 1mm off-centre)

Guys, I am going to use my GT as a daily drive. So which ones do you think is a must have part? Also, I will never take my GT to the track.

Personally I'm going to try the BMR CB005 Cradle Lockout kit and see how I go. Mine is my daily also, it definitely needs something to sort out the IRS movement. We might have a few Sydney members in for a group buy (if possible)?

I am in for a group buy for this. I can even take care of the group buy on behalf of the Sydney members.

I've ordered the BMR CB005... will endeavour to fit it in the next couple of weeks (assuming car arrives in about a week).

I asked on a thread what's recommended for a convertible, here:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34461

There's a few more bits on the list to 'eliminate' the hop.
My plan is to start with the CB005 (as adapted to a 'vert) and see how it goes...

Per other advice above, drive it first, see how it goes - if you're not going to lower it (by all accounts there's still good clearance even when its lowered) then you might look to the sway bars to stiffen up the roll a bit.

Look up Jegs performance, they were very reasonable and postage wasn't too bad either

Even though I haven't fitted it yet, I'm gonna say the CB005.
Reasons (in no particular order)
1. It's gonna square up your rear end.
2. "If" it cures most of the wheel hop (tramp in Australia), it's gonna save you money in the long run AND you won't feel like you're breaking your car every time you get stuck in to it.
3. It tightens up the connection between the sub frame and the body/chassis.
In other words, the parts SHOULD feel more connected/less vague.

As Phil has said, Jegs have them at the right price and their shipping is the best I've seen in terms of price. Not just on the CB005, but also other parts.

Am I wrong in saying that steeda subframe can be done at home by non skilled person. Lock out cradle not so much?

I'm not sure, but I need to get someone else to install my MGW, so figure I'll get them to do the CB005 at the same time.

Conflicted as hell though, do I get springs to do at the same time? I do like the stock clearance, haven't scraped yet.
