One Customer asked us today. Why does MBRP not make a 304 Stainless Steel.

Great Question. With the 409 Stainless Steel Exhaust Kit having a Lifetime Warranty, and all kits coming with 304 Stainless Steel full mirror finish tips.. Most people go with a 409 kit or even a Aluminized kit. 304 is very nice.. But honestly isn't very popular for EcoBoost Applications.

What is the Difference Between 304 and 409 Stainless Steel.. Here ya Go

304 VS 409 STAINLESS STEEL

We are looking for local cars to do a few new videos.. also looking for a guy that wants to do a Street Version. They do not have to be local, and we will give them an extra discount.

Need anything more with the race version? I can definitely provide videos and compare it side by side with a magna flow competition catback, and muffler delete.

What ive found and a few other owners on the facebook group is the mbrp exhaust is hanging pretty low at the end of the Y pipe and where the two connecting pieces elbow before the mufflers. if youre lowered you will probably be scraping on some stuff.

I recently purchased and installed the race verson.. I'm having a problem trying to get the tip center on the driver side.. The passenger side tip is perfect but the driver side hangs lower and has a pretty big gap.. Had 3 people at work holding it in place while I loosened and tightened and still nothing.. I almost got it centered but the the exhaust pipe was rubbing on the rear sub frame.. I'm very anal about having perfect centered tips and getting annoyed.. Is it the driver rear section that's bent? The box was pretty beat up and the mid pipe was poking through the box.. Any help would be awesome.. Gonna try again at work soon.. Maybe take it to a professional muffler shop and have them heat and bend the hanger and adjust it? Thanks

I had that same issue , but after installing the tip it was easier to align both sides. I love the sound and look.

I have the 409 Street version on my EB and I'm really considering putting the stock exhaust back on. The exhaust sounds great with normal driving to moderate acceleration but when WOT whether from a launch or doing 30, downshift then WOT, it pops and back fires and sounds like a piece of shit old muscle car. I can't stand it anymore. I sent multiple datalogs to Torrie and he says everything looks good, I have no codes, and the car runs great, maybe even a little stronger since installing the MBRP exhaust. I loved the MBRP exhaust on my FoST and it never popped or back fired so I thought it would be great on the EB Stang. Really disappointed.

I guess to each there own but....i love the crackling coming off a WOT pull. I had a GSXR with a Jardine exhaust and it shot out a blue flame at night lol. Ill post feedback and a video next week of my MBRP steet series with an ATP catless DP.

I had MBRP catless dp and exhaust on my FoST and it sounded badass. Loved it! But it didn't pop and crackle and back fire, it was just loud when WOT. This exhaust on the Stang sounds great except when on the throttle hard, it's not working for me. May go back to stock and put on Roush ABs. I don't know.

A couple questions for the more knowledgeable than me.....
Will this popping/backfiring mellow down and not be so noticeable with some time and carbon build up?
And what about additional mods. I plan on upgrading the IC, CAI, and high flow catted DP.....will these cause the popping/backfiring to be worse/louder?
I love the sound of the exhaust with normal to moderate acceleration, it's exactly what I was wanting the car to sound like. But I can't stand all the additional noises when hard on the throttle.
