I purchased a set of TSW wheels (used) from an owner that had them on an S197 mustang. The wheels fit over the pp breaks fine but the stock lugs do not fit in the wheel's lug wholes. Luckily, at least so I thought, the seller gave me the lugs she had with the wheels. So I tried to use them to find out that the whole of the purchased lugs were to small for the S197's mounting screws. So I'll have to purchase more lugs before I can install my wheels. So again just a heads up; check your wheels when you buy them.

The holes on some wheels for the lugs are very small diameter and may require a spline drive style lug nut.
The lug nut size on S197 is different. If using someone's S197 wheels, their lugs won't work, so you'll need the new S550 thread size nuts and possible the "skinny" lug nuts.
and that's my knowledge of nuts.

I ran into the exact same thing when I got my new rims. The new lug nuts need to be 14mm 1.5 I also needed the spline drive or acorn lug nuts. I guess the older mustangs used a 1/2" thread and those wont work with ours.

S197 is 12/1.5

S550 is 14/1.5

Was installing my old rims and used my old lugs but they wouldn't fit

Luckily my expedition spline lugs were handy so I tried them and as Borat would say, "Success"
