Hello all,
I have an Ecoboost in Japan and I'm trying to figure a few things out. I could really use some help!

The vehicle looks EU Spec as it has white tail lights and large side mirrors.
It's a very early "for export" vehicle, so it might be the same as US spec mechanically...

Are US spec Ecoboosts MAP or MAF?

Is there a way to visually tell if the car is MAP or MAF?

Thanks!!!

US ecoboosts have a MAP sensor. I honestly don't know much about the EU spec ecoboosts but I'd imagine they also have a MAP sensor.

Can you see the MAP sensor on your intake manifold?

European Mustangs use a MAF sensor, US Mustangs use a MAP for the ECU to determine fuel for A/F mixture. I'm not really sure how to help you with which you have though. It's possible you still have a MAP sensor for the ECU's control of the turbo but not using it for A/F. The MAF would be in the intake tube probably right where our IAT sensor is. While the IAT sensor is a very small thing usually a MAF is a little bigger reaching into the tube further, the air blows over it so I would start there.

Yes! I can see a sensor on my manifold as the picture above shows!
