Hey guys, I recently purchase a 2015 Mustang GT Roushcharged with 2,900 miles. It is a manual and I am a little rusty since I haven't driven a manual since I was 16 and that was only when I needed to drive my Dads truck. I wanted a manual to learn and be able to enjoy manual cars in the future so I have been getting used to it and can drive it relativity with ease after a week or so now. I am now noticing when going from 1st to 2nd there is a slight vibration on the shifter but I hear a grumbling almost like I got loose change in the cup holders vibrating and when taking off in 1st. 2nd feels a little rough when putting in the 2nd gear not terrible but doesnt slide in as smooth as the other gears. Please dont tell me I have torn this thing up already, I thought these clutches and Trannys were expected to handle abuse somewhat. Its not like Ive missed a gear at 75 mph! Am I not giving it enough gas? I shift at about 2,800 RPM or 3k. Any advice or suggestions guys Thanks alot!!:headbonk:

Mine grumbled for a few hundred miles and went away. No clue what it was. Sort of felt like it was just breaking in. I'm at almost 12k now and Procharged and its been fine.

Change the fluid and see if that makes a difference....do the rear drive also just for the hell of it.

Dang I hate to do that with only 3,200 miles. Do any of you guys think this could be covered under warranty? They will prob Try to say driver error or something!!

The 1-2 is definitely notchier than every other shift. I can't say I've heard grumbling noises when shifting. With that and the fact that you feel vibration during that shift, I'd be a little concerned that you could have a bad 1-2 synchro.

Sounds like whoever had the car first might've botched that 1-2 a lot and grinded it.

You bought a Roush charged mustang with 3k miles. Seems like the previous owner messed up something and then wanted to sell it after the fact. Sorry. Hope the dealer will cover it under warranty.
