so you leave your top down everywhere else?

what if some asshole kid decides to throw shit in your car?
My experience has only ever been seagull assholes.

My 86 GT convertible has about 278,000 miles on it, mostly with the top down. On one 3 week road trip through 22 states the weather was so good I had the top up (other than overnight) for no more than 4 hours due to rain.

Everything of value or interest to a passerby goes in the trunk which is only opened by a key. The glove box stays locked. Nothing of value in the console. I lock the doors and turn on the alarm with a very noticeable flashing red light.

I park it in many somewhat doggy places with the top down and have never had a problem, including in lots of places around Woodward Ave in Michigan during the Dream Cruise. I did have the top cut open in a secure underground parking lot once by someone trying to get at an empty camera bag in the back seat, but never a problem out in the open on a street or even a parking lot.

I may one day regret my preference for as much as possible leaving the top down, but it does not worry me today.

I saw those on instagram as well. I love how deep and rich the paint looks.

That first pic with the 65 is really cool. Amazing how they have lowered it so much from last year, yet it is still a couple of inches taller than the 60s models in the main body

This color is killer…can't wait to see it in person! For those who seen it in the flesh, are the photos pretty close? Thanks:thumbsup:

As much as I hate to admit to this, the color in person looks kinda boring (seen it on SuperDuty and Fusion).
:(

I think its one of the nicer new colors Ford has come out with. The amount of depth, richness and metallic sparkle makes it look great. Much better than sterling grey. It hides dust and dirt spots very well. Magnetic will look amazing with some of the unique wheel options like the new 20's. It makes the Mustang look very classy modern and sporty !!

I think at first glance, you could think it's boring. I like to think of it as sophisticated.

The more you look at the color, and the closer you get, the more it seems to pull you in. But still, it's not a stand out color. That's one of the reasons I like it.

Not having seen it in person, only pics, it reminds me of something Aston might use. Subtle and sophisticated.

i've seen magnetic and guard both on a fusion in person after ordering magnetic. I really wanted guard to begin with, but the pics on here seemed all over the place so i went with magnetic. From my experience, magnetic looks way better in person than guard. Guard looked very underwhelming in person and looks more grey with a hint of green but actually a little bit of blue too which was weird. I know for sure, I will not be disappointed with magnetic on the mustang after seeing it on the fusion.

Thanks k! Right now my three color selects are 1) Magnetic 2) Black 3) Ingot I am waiting to see them in person. I'll be that guy wondering around the back lot looking at colors for good long time. My last two cars have been Black and I'm quite fond of it. Magnetic and Ingot really seem to show the subtle lines very well of the new design.

ha ha! I will be there with you, waiting until next year so I can hopefully see the colors in both convertible and fastback to make my decision. Fastback has such great lines, but I love cruising with the top down when the sun is out...

Crappy photos, sorry, but it was difficult to get space for a good shot (plus I was carrying lots of stuff!!)

That being said, it was great to get up close and personal with S550 again. I'm not a 'vert lover (Fastback all the way, baby!) but this car is still ACHINGLY gorgeous in the metal.

These photos were taken at the Goodwood Revival in the UK. They have a recreation of the "Earl's Court Motor Show" from years gone by, but they did have modern metal in there.

3 cars stood out for me. The Aston Martin Vanquish........as perfect as a car can be, in my eyes. The Jaguar F-Type coupe. Similar styling cues to the Vanquish.....still gorgeous, but less than half the price. Then there's S550. Half the price of the Jaguar again, but you can still see similar styling influences in all 3, especially in the rear 3/4 hip area. That S550 can hold its head up high next to those beauties, whilst still retaining that Mustang DNA makes me giddy :)
