When I changed springs last week the spring compressor contacted the orange sleeve on the strut body and it popped off. I pushed it back down thinking it was only a retainer for the boot. I drove the car about 20 miles since then. While installing toe rods for tomorrows alignment appointment I decided to check the front end and saw it popped off. I now see is has a shaft seal.
Think there was any damage? How can or should I reset this still on the car? I have an alignment appointment tomorrow AM. Thanks!
