Mainly referring to the GT, but good info to know about the GT350 exhaust. Would love to have that bi-modal available for the GT, but Borla would need to have its own controller to do so :p (like X-force's).

We have many sound levels available for the GT. https://www.borla.com/ford-2015-mustang-exhaust-system/

Email me at [email protected] or call the direct line to my office at 805.246.6067 if you want me to walk you through the options. It can be a bit confusing with all the choices.

Not sure when the "Ford Performance By Borla" system or the "Shelby" system will be available but the "Borla" system will be available within 2 weeks.
Are these going to be 3 different systems with different sounds, or just rebranded versions of the Borla system? Thanks again for all the info David, it is refreshing to see that from a company.

David,

Will the Borla exhaust system be assembled as one large piece like the factory or sectional pieces like most catbacks tend to be?

I like to disassemble things.
David, I'm aware of Helmholtz primarily due to OEM use in various intake tract assemblies. Venturi effect and "over muffling" as well. I am going to take a look at the patent Borla has for the ATAK system to better understand it.

Thanks for taking the time to reply with articulate and cogent, tech-filled responses. I've never purchased anything from Borla before but you've piqued my interest and am looking forward to seeing how these upcoming offerings from you turn out.

Thanks again.

Quick story...I remember the the old Saleen days. Buddy got a canary yellow Saleen (#69 btw) and they came with Borla exhaust. I truly believe that's when I fell in love with the mustang and now own one.

My point is Borla has been around and been around making great exhaust systems for a while. Can't wait to here more of what they will offer the 350.

I just want to say that I absolutely love the technical explanations by you David. I have a 1995 Saleen Clone with Borla exhaust and it is by far my favorite sounding system for those older 5.0s. I also love the stock sound of my Shelby and never really had a desire to change it but after reading your posts, I can't wait to hear how the ATAK's sound on the Shelby's. You have piqued my interest my friend.

Sounds like they killed the sound that makes the Voodoo unique. I guess if you're one of the few that doesn't like the rasp and sound characteristics of the car, but love the high revving engine, this exhaust is for you.

That's what I don't get. I have long tubes and off road X pipes on mine with stock mufflers for the time being. Some that seen and heard my YouTube videos say they don't like the rasp. If you don't like the rasp then you never liked the sound even stock. My car still sounds stock but slightly louder when full throttle in sport mode. In normal mode it sounds exactly the same as stock in normal mode. I can't wait to hear Borlas. If they don't like rasp, they shouldn't be removing the resonators on the non R. Exhaust notes are like music. Some like rock some don't. Some like country some like rap. It's just a preference. I do not want my car to sound like a typical American V8 and it doesn't. Hearing it in person and videos isn't the same.
