This is in the wrong section. But to answer your question they are known to drone.

I have it on mine and I couldn't be happier with them. People mis-intrepret of drone with just being loud. If you run cats, your fine.

I love mine. Now, if you put the motor under a lot of load say uphill at 55 in 6th...then yes you get the "ooooommm".

I just drive around it. I either don't try to accelerate or maintain speed uphill in 6th or I just downshift to 5th.

I have the Magnaflow 19100 3" Street Catbacks and have gotten a slight drone on uphill grades at 55 mph in 6th on rare occasions... like he says, very easy to get it to stop (less throttle, no need to downshift) so never an issue. Streets are deep at idle, decently loud winding it out and actually get louder and sound even better than the demo videos (try the CJ Pony Parts clip) after they get about 1,000 miles on them... good alternative to the Competitions IMHO.
:headbang:

P.S. - 40-45 in 6th on level streets (about 1,250 rpm) doesn't drone either… I've heard the Ford Racing catbacks have zero drone here on the forum, but I've no personal experience with them. Since the Magnaflows were $200 cheaper, had a lifetime warranty and the guys at CJ Pony Parts said zero drone, I went with them. With a bright yellow car, I didn't want a super-loud exhaust to attract even more attention from law enforcement.

I have the magnaflow 10416 mufflers. Originally I had the Lethal H pipe but it drones miserably 5th gear and up, put the stock resonator back in and it's good. When I get some money I'm going to look into finding a shop that can calculate J pipes for me so I can put my H pipe back in.

Stay out of 6th under 60, and you're golden.
